Isaiah 58:13

13  wIf you turn back your foot from the Sabbath,

from doing your pleasure1 on my holy day,

and call the Sabbath a delight

and the holy day of the Lord honorable;

if you honor it, not going your own ways,

or seeking xyour own pleasure,2 or talking idly;3

Deuteronomy 6:13

13 It is lthe Lord your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and mby his name you shall swear.

Matthew 4:9–10

And he said to him, All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me. 10 Then Jesus said to him, Be gone, iSatan! For jit is written,

kYou shall worship the Lord your God

and lhim only shall you serve.

Matthew 15:4–6

For God commanded, kHonor your father and your mother, and, lWhoever reviles father or mother must surely die. But you say, If anyone tells his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is given to God,1 he need not honor his father. So for the sake of your tradition you have mmade void the word2 of God.
